Villa Gella commands 270-degree views of the surrounding Rhodope Mountains: Mount Snezhanka (1,926m), with its TV tower and the slopes of the Pamporovo ski resort; the unforgettable Mount Turlata, with its distinct haystack shape and Neolithic cave paintings; Mount Orpheus (2,188m) and Mount Perelik (2191m) - the highest Rhodope peaks. Villa Gella is 6km from the village of Shiroka Laka, an architectural reserve and home of a Folklore Music School. Another 25km away is the Devil's Throat, where legend has it Orpheus descended into the underworld in search of his beloved Eurydice. The ancient cave Yagodinska Peshtera with an astonishing 20km of galleries and the canyon in which it is situated are a spectacular venue for hiking and exploration.
